1919年，“南洋華僑中學”（簡稱“華中”）由著名愛國僑領，原全國政協(xié)副主席陳嘉庚先生在新加坡籌辦。

這是華人在當?shù)氐牡谝凰A文中學，在此后的一百多年里，她培養(yǎng)了56位“總統(tǒng)獎學金”得主，60位世界冠軍，被譽為“東方伊頓”，是牛津和劍橋在海外最大的生源校。

in 1919, the hwa chong institution (referred to as "hwa chong") was established in singapore by mr. tan kah kee, a famous patriotic overseas chinese leader and former vice chairman of the nccpcc. at that time, hwa chong was the first chinese middle school in singapore. notably, 56 president's scholars and 60 world champions have studied here for over 100 years afterwards, which makes hwa chong known as the "eton of the east." moreover, in terms of the number of students coming from overseas and admitted into oxford and cambridge, hwa chong is honored to be ranked in the first place.

2021年，在中新國家級合作的時代機遇下，“嘉庚精神”漂洋過海，在中新廣州知識城播下了新的種子。廣州新僑學校攜手新加坡南洋華中校群，繼承了嘉庚先生的衣缽，以朝氣蓬勃之姿態(tài)，立志以亞洲主張，影響世界。

in 2021, thanks to the sino-singapore national cooperation, the kah kee spirit crossed the ocean and sowed new seeds in the sino-singapore guangzhou knowledge city. here sca in guangzhou, as an affiliate to hwa chong family of schools, took on the mantle of mr. tan kah kee and has been determined to influence the world with its asian advocates together with the hwa chong family in singapore.
