mission
? the product application engineer is responsible in front of the customer to coordinate the design and development for assigned programs and ensures that the system performance meets technical requirements.
? he/she is responsible for design schedule, deliverables and budget.
? he/she is acting as a leader and coordinator within r&d group during product development for assigned programs.
? he/she has to identify risks and spec tender modification during the development phase.
tasks & responsabilities
? the product application engineer maintains responsibility for assigned programs from inception through the end of service life.
? responsible for the product file including 3d and 2d drawings, simulations, dfmea, dvp&r, bom, engineering timeline including action plans for issue resolution and product validation, etc…, all document post in plm system.
? direct cad designers in the development of details and assembly math data / drawings to ensure the design meets the program requirements.
? direct test engineers/technicians in the development of the design and process validation plans.
? direct the manufacture, assembly and validation of prototype parts and approved them before shipment.
? communicate design changes to the program team.
? release drawings / math data to suppliers for the manufacture of tooling, prototypes, components and assembly aids associated with the program.
? release drawings / math data to the customer that meets the specific customer’s standards.
? lead design performance review (dpr) with project team during development.
? make recommendations for improvement to the program team and the customer to continuously drive towards lower cost and increased quality within the required timing.
? interface with other development groups (components, materials, process and systems) to ensure the provision of the technologies required to support the program and promote standardization of components and procedures.
? organize gd&t reviews with team members.
? intellectual property management and patent & utility model application.
? support and follow the poai quality system.
? must successfully complete all poai required training.
? must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures.
? must comply with all safety rules and regulations.
profile required
personal background
? bachelor of science in engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical)
? two to three years related business / automotive experience, fuel system is preferred.
skills & abilities
? must contribute at a high level in a team environment
? good english verbal and written communication skills
? good problem-solving skills
? ability to read engineering drawings
? basic understanding of the capabilities of common cae systems (unigraphics, sdrc i-deas, catia, abaqus, etc.).
? good knowledge of:
1. injection, punching, blow molding
2. dfmea, pfmea basics
3. drawing standard and gd&t
4. measurements systems analysis
5. qfd, doe
6. mistake/error proofing( pokayuke)
7. iso9001 & ts 16949 procedures
